I am no fan of vampires / werewolves but am all about the paranormal; superceding my love of mystery! Put a ghost IN and I’m a fan! Reincarnation, witches, all other supernatural is great. I had a hard time finding a ghost or general metaphysics theme that doesn’t dictate inclusion of the above junk.
I have found extraordinary stories categorized as ‘young adult’ but am perplexed by people above 20 who homestick to that. Vampires & ‘young adult’ so often go hand-in-hand; it caused a drought in my favourite (grown-up) subject matter! To tone commitment posts down for my loyal, non-bookie subscribers: I’m combining to join the following tantalizing themes. Click the banners for details.

I love making new friends. Dipping toes into new circles is how you do it! :) Amy’s ‘mystery/crime’ event is new and I look forward to it. The ‘found a body’ story (crime) has always been less interesting than ANY other mystery. A clue in a diary, a hidden staircase, a secret. The topics are endless, there aren’t enough of them, and they get my mind whirling!
Authors I’ll pursue are: Arthur Conan Doyle, Mary Roberts Rinehart, Agatha Christie, Mildred A Wirt, Phyllis A Whitney, Dorothy Gilman (oldies but ‘Grand Masters’)! My current authors blow it out of the water too. ;) Let’s see, 20 seems like a sturdy number and I’m a Star Trek nut, so I’ll go with ‘Captain’!

The Crafty Book Nerd
Thanks for letting me know about this challenge! I really like how universal it is. I have no problem with vampires and such, but I may join this one too – yay for all things paranormal in one place :)
I’m glad Lila’s ‘ghostly’ members are writing back! Finding a non-vampire replacement was hard but even better; I **love** meeting others with the same interests!
Welcome to the 2013 Witches & Witchcraft Reading Challenge! So glad that you are joining again:) And I promise to shoot you an email soon! Hope all is well!!

Swell Melissa! Would you let me know who won your prizes? On dial-up, I can only sift so many pages but enjoyed having a great shot.
