Welcome to year three of “GENTLE SPECTRUMS”! I am Carolyn, in central Canada. I created this dual game, initially for a place to continue with more colour titles than older challenges included. There are many among my books. Opposite from narrowing material, one hue at a time: we collect as many as we find. Since everything may repeat, we want titles bearing actual colours and their spectrums. For example, brown and beige; not “chocolate”. There is a list of additional vocabulary that makes “Limitless Palette” easy.
I also love matching titles to broad subjects. Flexible, with ample room for creativity and the fun air of a scavenger hunt, these naturally metamorphosed into one group! Thus it has two options. You need only join once. If your material fits a second game, you are set! Note: games A and B are separate. The same “Limitless Palette” book may fulfill a “Gentle Subjects” category dually.

Any colourful titles, including the vocabulary words above. We are now using levels “Colourful”, “Bright”, “Iridescent” as progress markers solely. Log any quantity you finish!

I will hold one event that yields a prize, in addition to our year-end draw. Other activities will be for fun. Winners are e-mailed a list of second-hand books PLUS a list of eclectic, alternate choices. My assortment ranges from postcards, my animal and nature cards, plant seeds… You are eligible for every activity the minute you join: EVERYBODY, internationally! I merely have a wrap-up button to reaffirm interest in the January 31 draw. We’ll award someone who hasn’t disappeared.

~ LEVELS ~
We want challenges to be easy – not lacking a mission and becoming pointless. My site keeps us connected but commitment levels are unnecessary. In “Limitless Palette”, we’ll use levels as creative signposts for measuring progress. YOU tell me how many you finish! If you write summaries, show those posts. Non-reviewers, I suggest dropping off a list upon each marker. Say: I have reached “Iridescent”. If you like chatting more often, even better. Repeat any “Gentle Subjects” too, as often as you can. Don’t stop: all reading has a home here!
