History & New Mountains

Ancient themes as paranormal, mystery, and fantasy are enchanting.  But English portrayals in films and literature, I perceived as dry.  Their historical fiction made me think of William Shakespeare, whose style and stories were too wordy and war-oriented.  Thus I had not read historical fiction until now.

I love what I have read and have become a Kate Kingbury fan especially!  There are many more authors at home awaiting my sampling and my anticipation has increased.  For my first foray, I chose ‘Victorian’ level:  5 books and close this theme smashingly.  Please enjoy my original post.  https://cmriedel.wordpress.com/2013/01/21/guilty-country-historic/

With enthusiasm, I additionally introduce in my post:  “Mount To-Be-Read 2014“!  I couldn’t feel more satisfied that I leaped -not one- but three mountains higher than the one I pledged!  Instead of re-joining the wonderful, conversational group of climbers at ‘Mount Ararat’ (48), this time I enter the competition at ‘Mount Kilimanjaro‘, (60)!  Conversation in our accompanying ‘Goodreads’ group is refreshing and a friendship-maker!
